Car crashes are the leading cause of death for Canadians and distracted driving now accounts for more fatalities than impaired driving. It would be incredible if all of us in the Windsor and Essex County could commit to undistracted driving and make our little part of Canada an anomaly. Almost 75% of Canadians admit to distracted driving despite knowing the dangers, resulting in a noticeable increase in claims. Across Canada, we’ve seen a 23% increase in accidents likely caused by distracted driving since 2016. We want to continue to call attention to the severity of this issue, because it’s not getting any better.
