Protect Your Home and Vehicles
Did you know that the incidences of vandalism greatly increase around Halloween?

Whether you live in a city, a suburb or a rural area, there are steps you can take to protect your home and autos against damage or loss.

  • Install sensor lighting on the exterior of your home.
  • Store away any easy to break landscaping accent pieces.
  • Lock entryway gates and storage sheds.
  • Always lock your vehicles and park your cars in the garage or away from roads, sidewalks and alleyways if possible.
  • Remove any ‘tempting’ items from your vehicle.
  • Consider removing any political bumper stickers from your car and signs from your home or yard.
  • If you’re going to be away, have someone stay in your home and keep the lights on. If you’re out on the town, park in busy, well-lit areas.

Although vandalism is more common around Halloween than any other time of the year, it’s best to always follow the above safety tips to ensure your vehicle and home’s safety.
